i have been watching a fair bit of disney channel lately. (yes, i still love my cartoons, can't get enough of them.) after coming to jc, i've been able to come home much earlier than when in rgs, when i got home around 8pm every day. and only because of this have i been able to discover the joys of 7pm television on disney when they would screen disney movies, and oh, mr bean-the cartoon! just a few days back i relived my beijing days watching the little mermaid over dinner.

when i was living in beijing, which was eons back when i still had long hair reaching down to my back tied in two neat pigtails, my family used to go to this restaurant every sunday after piano classes (which were torturous since i couldn't/still can't sight read for nuts) to get our weekly dose of the beloved peking duck. and every weekend, the restaurant would faithfully play the little mermaid on the tv in the little children's corner. and every weekend, i would faithfully plonk down infront of the tv and watch the show till the end, as if i hadn't watched it about a million times already.

ahhh. memories. haha.

my legs are aching. badly. must be the running. finished reading the time traveler's wife on sunday. towards the end, i was reduced to tears and once the waterworks started, it took awhile to stop.

oh, did i mention i was late for the last day of school last term because i thought it was saturday and thus went back to sleep after the alarm clock rang. seems like everyone still finds it thoroughly amusing.

i guess it is.
