the cosmos.

image from google images.

am pleased today, because i finally found out the name of the flower that i adore while watching japan hour this morning. for the longest time, i've said it was a daisy because it came pretty close to it and i'd always thought it was some spinoff of the daisy family. i particularly like the one above, cause that colour's rather rare. turns out that it actually is classified in the same flower family as the daisy. the name, is the Cosmos flower. isn't that such a pretty name? a flower which represents a balanced universe.

i absolutely love the sight of a sprawling field with a patchwork of cosmos flowers. gives me yet another reason to want to travel to japan which is home to many many many fields of beautiful cosmos in spring and fall.

relaxing, innit? there's even a cute little caterpillar on the flower at the bottom right corner. reminds me of the days when i used to play with those fat and fuzzy caterpillars.

i shall leave you all with this sight, while i go burrow myself back into the little hole i've created in the middle of the mound of finance i have left to read for tomorrow's exam. okay, so i'm exaggerating, it's not really that much of an uphill task, but i really should be studying.

till i'm in the mood to blog again, ta!
