daydream delusions.

fireworks by perchance.

isn't that an awfully sweet picture? i saw it and my heart just got all warm and fuzzy inside. a perfect representation of one of my numerous daydreams. hahaha. hey, a girl's gotta dream, no?

dinner with sianying and tzung today ended up evolving into a shopping trip for decorations for sianying because her mom needed materials for a golf buggy decorating competition. yes, queer as that may sound, these type of competitions do exist. nevertheless, i had a good time and i promise promise promise our kayaking trip will materialise next year with the presence of ngiam as well!

that night while staying over at nanyang, i took a little walk around school (the school's really beautiful at night) and ended up at the courtyard. anyone who's been there would know that the courtyard is probably the centrepiece of the whole structure because it serves to bring out how majestic the building is. indeed, a majestic primary school complex.

the stars that night were shimmering brightly in the cloudless sky because it had just rained that afternoon. really, i've never seen so many stars in the sky in singapore. and that moment i just decided to lie there and admire them, picking out the ever so familiar constellation, the orion's belt.

when we're no longer busy and bogged down by work, our mind wanders and there and then, i started thinking of everything under the sun, or stars, to be exact. people who've walked in and out of my life, those that have left a deeper footprint and gotten their names carved into my heart, and those who've merely been a fleeting image, but still a part of my life thus far. good things, bad things, things you wish you hadn't done, things you wish you had done. happy moments, funny moments, sad moments, crazy moments. a gust of wind guided some clouds towards me, causing the sky to glaze over with clouds. the stars shined on, albeit dimmer now that they were peeking out from behind the clouds, but we all know that they were shining just as brightly as they had been moments before the clouds had come.

i vaguely remember someone once related a quote to me that went along the lines of "you may not see the stars in the day, but they are always there." and how true, i thought that night. like memories, they fade into the background of our daily lives but then they are always there, and nothing can erase them for they are part and parcel of us; for some are what made us. once we dust off the lid of that little box that holds our memories and open it up, there the memories are, sitting in there like they had been the last time it had been visited, maybe with a little more crammed inside this time.

can't say the same for people, though. one moment they're here, and the next, we'll never know, but the memory lives on. and so comes in the very much overused but understated word, cherish. and yes, really, i just want to say, i cherish each and every one of you very, very much and thank you for being part of my life. (:

let your hard luck end and make it new.

THE SEMESTER'S OVERRRR.
yeahhhh.
let's not talk about exams. i think i have resigned to the fact that i will be unable to maintain my 4.0 gpa this semester. nevermind, nevermind.

had a night out with pao, mj and keane. oooh. weihnachtsbaum, worterbuch, einstein, iiiich liiieeebe diiiichhhh! hahaha. okay, billy bombers was a bomb, in the sense that it totally robbed me of the remainder of my allowance. tried the B52 burger which was quite yummy and ooh buffalo wings are goooood. totally stuffed and high over the sudden emptiness of our academic schedule, we took a long walk to the merlion and then played the country/state/city game. that was a nice walk back to memory lane.

oh, have a lovely wedding, christine! (:

well the last two days were spent at my primary school helping out with the camp. for the first time in years, the full bunch of us old ones were there. and it was great seeing everyone. (:
you know that the boys you used to play retarded games and prance around doing random weird things with have definitely grown up when at night and everyone's trying to sleep, all of them start snoring like a bunch of choirboys gone wrong. hahaha.

heading out for dinner with sianying and tzung in awhile.
ohhh, gotta pack, gotta pack. flying tuesday morning!
