couldn't seem to get myself out of bed today. i seem to have caught the deadly flu bug that has been circulating around the lecture theatres lately. not good. read a little part of she's come undone by wally lamb in which i was reminded of how i used to wonder how the little people who lived in the radio and played/sang all the music looked like, and whether it would be rude if i opened up the radio to look for them.
speaking of little people, i really should share this site with y'all. been going there since forever but never got round to telling people about it. here's one of their pieces of work.
this particular piece is called rush hour. the irony of it all speaks for itself.
little people is a tiny street art project whereby little handpainted people are left out on the streets of london to fend for themselves. interesting, isn't it? i just love miniature things and the attention to detail.

it's only been a little more than a week and i'm already feeling stifled by school and all the crazy schedules. am craving a breather. i have decided that the theme for this semester shall be CAFFEINE. yeah, really. really. really. important. sky by joshua radin (ft. ingrid michaelson) is my happy song for the moment. my thoughts are coming in little drips and draps, and i just keep feeling so detached from things happening around me. sometimes you just want to go, to hell with unbearably long lectures, to hell with driving theory, to hell with all the stupid crap i have to put up with. i find myself reading old friend's blogs. those that i've lost touch with, those that i haven't spoken to in ages. just knowing how they're doing, and that they are still around is good enough. i think i've been inspired after receiving jeanting's letter in the mail today. yeah, it's awesome. there's those kind of friends whom you don't see much, but once you do meet up, there's never a moment of awkwardness cause you're just so comfortable around each other.
it's been a rough week, but it's gonna be over soon!

music: details in the fabric by jason mraz ft. james morrisoni threw out over 5kg worth of notes, papers, scribblings, for recycling whilst clearing my table yesterday. now my table looks like...a mild disaster only, with the little nodding panda sitting atop a pile of books at the corner. i feel accomplished.

dismal turnout tonight, 7/10 of us were supposed to be there. but it turned out the other way round. so to those 7 missing, WE MISSED YOU. so yeah, let's go burn the courts sooooon! i'm getting all nostalgic thinking about the not-so-old days. today, i was told something that made me feel both happy and sad, i guess it's just that way, isn't it.

just like you said it would be.
assumptions make an 'ass' out of 'u' and 'me'. i remember when i first heard it from efei i was pretty tickled. how clever, i thought. not just clever, but that statement rings true. assumptions don't just make and ass out of us, they also make a mess (most of the time) out of things. i don't quite like making assumptions.i got a terrible haircut today! so much for being bored, didn't do me much good. hairdressers are still one of my oldest enemies. i know i'm rambling but i feel like it so skip this if you want to. i shall clear my table tomorrow for two reasons, it's mother's day and the fact that i'm bored of how it looks.
this may sound random, but boy, am i glad that sianying's always there no matter the crap.
i sat next to a feisty seventy year old lady tonight, who told me about herself lying comatose for one year and finally waking up, out of it.
i meet amazing people everyday.
and it's finally raining. what a relief.

eighteen.
i wasn't really looking forward to this birthday, turning 18 is somewhat a milestone, at least for me, it is. it's like stepping into another frame of your life and i guess i don't really like the idea of not being a kid anymore. but this year, my friends and family really made it an unforgettable 18th (nope, i didn't forget it this time, unlike last year!) and really, thank you everyone. much love! i'm honestly touched.i would say more, but i'd rather do that when i can get the photos on my com. for now, i shall just bask in all the happy vibes surrounding me. :D

sunshine, fun time.
yesterday was a lousy, lousy day but today was much better.one of the things that i absolutely cannot stand is lousy sportsmanship, and i got an excellent demonstration of that yesterday. sometimes incidents like this make me doubt why i spend so much time trying to defend my alma mater when people around me speak so negatively of us.
dimsum and arcade today was AWESOMEEEE.
totally whooped everyone's asses for puzzle bubble. hahahaha.
made me happy!
